With winter approaching and the rains set in, we’ll all be using our clothes dryers more frequently. This is a timely reminder on how to prevent a clothes dryer fire
Clean the filter, ensure adequate air flow around the dryer, don’t leave the dryer operating when you are not home.

This image shows why we tell kids and adults why it’s important to “get down low and go go go” if there was a fire in your house.
The “smoke layers” are thicker and substantially hotter higher up. You have a better chance of escaping a fire by crawling along the floor to an exit.
