Last week was RUOK? DAY and the team from the ADF Centre for Mental Health organised a group presentation with the members of RAAF Base Pearce, followed by an awesome lunch for the Base, which PCG was honoured to sponsor and provide.
Open Arms were also there, not only cook the barbie, but thanks Nathan, but to offer support to anyone who needs it.
We had visits from many members and it was a really fun day with members playing games, whilst chatting and enjoying the fabulous sunshine.
There was no mistaking why we were there with all the black and yellow RUOK? material around, but the beanbags which were a huge hit with some looking very comfortable.
It was a safe place to ask and be asked, RUOK? Really okay?

Being able to sit and chat about PCG with those that weren't aware of us, and hear others talking about PCG was incredible, but my favourite part was when I spoke to the groups, asking if they had heard of PCG, and have husbands' (plural) of our members share our story, the events we hold and have held, but how much of a support that we've been to them since they arrived in WA. This warms my heart and is exactly why PCG exists. π
It was a massively successful day, showcasing how 4 different groups can come together for the interests of our Defence personnel and their families.
