College Community Child Care Centre is a Not-For-Profit Community based Long Day Care Centre located on the SR TAFE Campus in Bunbury WA, that is providing care to the community since 1996. Our centre prides itself on being a community based child care service that is managed by a parent and community committee. We offer a quality child focused program that promotes learning through fun and intera

ctive experiences. We have made a commitment to ensure that our program reflects the highest standards in education and quality care possible, while following the principles, practices and requirements of the Early Years Learning Frame Work. We believe that early education is a solid building block for life, so only specialist Educators who have been purposefully selected for the job will be guiding your children through their learning. 🌿✨ Most of you have already noticed the changes happening around the centre! ✨🌿

Last week, three of our amazing educators 👩‍🏫💚 were hard at work transforming our toddler yard into an even more engaging outdoor learning space 🍃🛝🌻, while also refreshing the gardens throughout our other yards 🌼🌱🌿.

It was a day filled with teamwork 🤝, determination 💪, plenty of dirt 🪴, and a whole lot of satisfaction 😊. We are so proud of what they have achieved, and the spaces are already looking fantastic! 🌟

A very special THANK YOU 🙏💚 to Emily and Blair from Southwest Soils and Landscaping Supplies for their generous donation of soil 🚜🌱. Your support has helped us bring new life to our gardens and create beautiful outdoor environments for our children to explore, learn, and grow 🌼🐞🌿.

We can't wait to see our little learners enjoying these refreshed spaces through play, discovery, and adventure! 🧒👧🌞🍃

🍎🥪 At our Play & Stay sessions, the children have been learning all about healthy food choices and what's in their lunch boxes.

One of our favourite activities involved discovering just how much sugar can be found in some foods and drinks. Using scales and bowls, the children scooped spoonfuls of sugar to measure the amount contained in different items. It was a fantastic hands-on learning experience that helped the children visualise sugar quantities while developing their measuring skills. The children absolutely loved the scooping activity and were amazed by some of the results!

Another fun activity saw the children filling shopping bags with foods they thought would make healthy lunch box choices. They enjoyed identifying different fruits, vegetables, sandwiches and snacks, discussing which foods help keep our bodies healthy and strong. This activity encouraged lots of conversation and helped the children think about making balanced choices when packing their own lunch boxes.

It has been wonderful to see the children so engaged and enthusiastic as they learn about healthy eating through play. 😊
