Race against your friends on the Nintendo Switch 2, with two consoles, two screens and eight players battling it out at once. Take turns behind the wheel, earn points based on your placing and climb the leaderboard.The racer with the highest total score will take the crown! ๐Ÿ‘‘

September is shaping up to be a busy one at the libraries! ๐ŸŒธ๐ŸŒฟ๐Ÿ“š

Thereโ€™s a great mix of events happening this month, from practical advice and group singing to author talks and school holiday activities.

Have questions about the NBN? If you missed the NBN local help desk at Withers Community Library today, you can pop into Bunbury Library tomorrow (3 Sep) for the free NBN Local Help Desk hosted by Justine Esmonde from nbn local. No bookings required.

Our new free singing group also begins at Withers this Thursday! Join us from 1pm to 2pm each Thursday during the school term for a relaxed singalong. No experience is needed just come along and enjoy singing together. ๐ŸŽถ

Later in the month at Bunbury, author Ben Colman will share insights from The Smart Sellerโ€™s Guide. ๐Ÿก

Then, from Tuesday 29 September, the school holiday program begins with scavenger hunts, a wooden jungle animal puzzle workshop and a Crash Team Racing tournament! ๐Ÿ†๐Ÿพ๐ŸŽฎ

A little recap of August at the libraries ๐Ÿฅฐ

Children's Book Week was celebrated at the libraries with special Story Time sessions where everyone came dressed up as their favourite book characters.

Penny and Judith started the celebrations at Withers Community Library, and don't they look fabulous bringing the magic of Book Week to life? Then, over at Bunbury on Friday, Danielle led a special lap around the library with the children showing off their beautiful costumes before settling in for their Story Time session. ๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿงธ

We've also seen some incredible creations in Withers' Craft with a Laugh sessions and it is safe to say plenty of laughs have been shared at Seated Strength Training so far this term at Bunbury!

So many more brilliant things have happened throughout the month... this is just a little glimpse! We love seeing our library community come together each day to create, connect and have fun ๐Ÿ’›

Our September/October 2026 school holiday program at Bunbury and Withers Libraries has just dropped and spots will be filling fast!

From an AWESOME character scavenger hunt (in collaboration with BREC & Barking Gecko Arts) to a Crash Team Racing tournament, Supersonic Science, interactive story times, 3D printing, wooden puzzles and heaps of crafty creations, there's something for every young adventurer, scientist and creative these school holidays. ๐Ÿฆ–๐Ÿ๐Ÿ†

There's still time to secure your spot at this week's Meet the Author event with Lynsey McDonnell, in conversation with Libby Iriks, but not for long. This Saturday, they'll sit down at Bunbury Public Library to discuss Lynsey's new release Bailey Street, a sweeping contemporary and historical romance about love, longing, and the ties that bind us to place, family and the past.

Spanning Liverpool, Ireland and Western Australia, it's a story where love transcends time, oceans and generations. ๐ŸŒŽ

Inspired in part by the story of Irish political prisoner John Boyle O'Reilly and his reported romance with the daughter of a Bunbury warder, Bailey Street brings a fascinating chapter of local history to life. Readers will enjoy discovering familiar places and names woven through this richly imagined tale of love, courage, and connection.
