📣 BUNDY HIGH HORNETS SHINE AT NATIONALS! 🐝💙💛

A huge congratulations to the Bundy High Hornets Cheer Team, who recently competed at the TFT National Competition on the Sunshine Coast!

The Hornets delivered an incredible performance, earning an outstanding 4th place at Nationals — finishing just ONE POINT behind 3rd place!

Their commitment, teamwork and countless hours of training have certainly paid off. We are incredibly proud of what this squad has achieved and the way they represented Bundy High on the national stage.

A big thank you also goes to the dedicated teachers who have supported, encouraged and helped the team throughout their journey.

Well done, Hornets! What an amazing achievement!

Maths tutorials normally held on Thursday afternoon will not be happening in Week 8 on Thursday 4rd September. We will return to normal for Week 9 to support students in preparation for their upcoming exams.

This week is Teacher Aide Appreciation Week. Today, some of our Year 7 students helped deliver a small token of appreciation to thank our Teacher Aides for all they do around our school. From providing first aid, assisting in the canteen and library, to supporting students in the classroom, their contribution is invaluable. The list of roles they take on is truly endless.

Thank you to our Teacher Aides for your dedication, care, and hard work. We are grateful for everything you do to support our students and school community.

As part of their Year 10 Health assignment, students have been developing health campaigns designed to inform and engage specific stakeholders about alcohol use among teenagers.

Students have applied their knowledge of health promotion, communication, and persuasive strategies to create campaigns that raise awareness and encourage informed, healthy decision-making.

We are proud to showcase one of the campaigns created by our Year 10 students.

A few more highlights from our Year 9 NRL Incentive Tour!

On Thursday night, the group attended the Brisbane Broncos vs Melbourne Storm game, enjoying some time in the fan activation zone before taking their seats for the match.

After an early start the following morning, students were treated to a stadium and training facilities tour at Kayo Stadium, hosted by former NRL player and current Dolphins NRL Development staff member, Sam Tagataese.

Sam spoke to the students about the importance of having strong core values, always working towards a goal in both sport and life, and the many different opportunities available within a professional sporting organisation.

The tour concluded with the group watching the Dolphins NRL side train. Students also had the opportunity to meet Dolphins captain Tom Gilbert, winger Jamayne Isaako and superstar halfback Isaiya Katoa.

It was an outstanding experience for our students and a fantastic opportunity to see firsthand what is possible through hard work, commitment and strong values.

We would like to thank Mr Findlay, Mr Lee and Mr Handley for supporting our students throughout the tour, as well as the Dolphins NRL and Brisbane Broncos for their support in coordinating these incredible opportunities.
