Even though the weather is starting to cool down, things definitely aren’t slowing down here at our Bundaberg Skills Campus!
Over the past fortnight, we’ve supported our clients to catch public transport, enjoy lunch outings with friends, work on their fitness in the gym, and engage in an inclusive environment through tabletop gaming.
We’ve also been busy making delicious meals which can recreated at home, getting started on a very cool new project, and creating some awesome pieces across our Digital Technology, 3D Modelling and Sewing programs.
We’re quickly approaching the end of our first term for 2026, so keep your eyes peeled to see what our incredible participants will be putting together for their showcase! 😊

We’re surrounded by some truly creative souls at Skills Campus 💛

Whether it’s having a dance with a friend, restoring furniture and giving it a whole new lease on life, creating meaningful pieces for someone special (like Mum!) or something for everyday use, the talent on display is incredible!

We are very lucky here at Skills Campus to work in an environment where participants have the choice and control to turn their ideas and designs into something real ✨

2026 has already been a huge year for CLS Skills Campus. We kicked things off with a fully renovated campus, launched exciting new programs, and welcomed some fresh faces. So much has been achieved in just the first portion of our 2026 semester, and we’re incredibly grateful to work alongside our amazing participants every day. We can’t wait to see what the rest of the year has in store!

Nardoo Nursery also have a great workshop for the kids 🪴

Enjoy a morning at the beautiful Nardoo gardens learning how to pot up and care for plants in your own hand-painted terracotta pot.

Kids (6+) will love learning about maintaining plants, expressing their creativity through art and meeting new friends.

During this 1 hour workshop, kids will have artistic freedom to paint their own terracotta pot before learning how to plant and maintain their seedlings. Pots, paint and 2 plants are supplied, and each child leaves with their own planted masterpiece.

Parents are welcome to relax on the deck under the trees and enjoy barista coffee from the cafe.

The Promised Garden series is presented by a horticulturist with 40 years of experience in all facets of the horticulture industry. Workshop participants will learn through hands on experience in Nardoo's wholesale and retail nurseries, all set within 6 acres of beautiful lawns and gardens. Materials and morning tea are included in each session.

Imagine what the world would be like if you could only answer a question with 👍or 👎? This was the challenge we set this week for Disability Action Week. Turns out there's a lot of questions that need more than just 👍or 👎, yet often people with a disability are expected to make it work. Our challenge to you is to try the thumbs up/thumbs down challenge - even if only for an hour of your day - and use the experience to challenge yourself to broaden the opportunities people with disability have to communicate 🙌
