At CLS the paediatric occupational therapy service strives to support children to develop the skills they need for everyday life. From play and learning, to self-care and social interaction, occupational therapy focuses on building independence, confidence, and participation in meaningful activities.
By understanding each child’s unique strengths and challenges, therapists work closely with families to support development in a practical, engaging, and child-centred way.
Our paediatric OT, Nicol, is passionate about supporting children and families as they navigate their way through their unique world, and delivers therapy within a strength-based and person-centred model.
Nicol developed her skills as a therapist in paediatric and adolescent disability support for almost 10 years. She has worked with a variety of diagnoses, such as Global Developmental Delay, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Intellectual and Development Disabilities, and many more.
