100 years is definitely a milestone worthy of cake!

It was a privilege for our CEO David and General Manager Operations and Planning Stacey to be there for the Advisory Committee for the Purity of Water centenary celebration.

The Committee has a valued role providing advice to the Ministers for Health and Water on protecting, monitoring and managing drinking water in WA and it's great to be able to contribute to such a collaborative and committed interagency group.

Collaboration and knowledge sharing is vital to ensuring our State has a secure and sustainable water supply for the future so it's been great to spend time connecting with some of the big irrigators and irrigation co-ops from across WA at the GrowCo 2026 conference here in Busselton this week.

It was a pleasure to host the delegation for a tour of our water treatment plant, with some really engaging conversations and interesting questions around the challenges of meeting peak demand, storage and efficiency measures.

Last week our Graduate Water Engineer Ollie headed to Melbourne for the 2026 Australian Water Association / International Water Association Young Water Professionals Conference.

Over two days, they explored the theme 'From vision to action' - looking at how to apply innovative solutions to real challenges and how to shape policies. Demonstrating the breadth and depth of his knowledge Ollie added to the conversation, delivering a very engaging and thoughtful presentation about how we have improved our bore extraction electrical efficiency through data automation.

He also enjoyed the opportunity to meet and build connections with other water professionals from across the country.
