LABOR WINS THE STAFFORD BY-ELECTION - EVEN THOUGH THE GREENS REFUSED TO PREFERENCE US OVER THE LNP!

Congratulations to the new member for Stafford Luke Richmond MP on your by-election victory!

Unbelievably, the Greens once again DID NOT preference Labor over the LNP in this by-election! We know that the Greens hate Labor even more than One Nation does, but not preferencing Labor over the LNP is low, even for them. They did this in the NT, they did this in Byron Shire Council with a National Party candidate, they did this in our Richmond electorate in 2010 - as well as countless other times around the country.

One Nation also completely fizzled out. They refused to even run a candidate in this working-class Brisbane seat - so maybe Pauline doesn't have the guts, after all.

What a great result. Labor works for Australia - and we thank you for your support!

THANK YOU TO THE RIGHT-WING BOTS FOR BOOSTING ALL OF OUR POSTS!

Without One Nation bots and trolls commenting on our posts, we wouldn't get anywhere near the audience we have. Facebook algorithms reward posts that these bots comment on - so it actually works against them, by showing our message to more people!

Unfortunately for the bots, though, they can't vote - because Anthony Albanese is SURGING as preferred Prime Minister in the latest YouGov poll!

Albo leads Hanson 54% - 35%. Hanson's even been overtaken by Liberal Leader Angus Taylor, still on a low 36%.

AUSTRALIA'S NEWEST LABOR COUNCILLOR!

This week, Labor's Peter Doherty was elected to Byron Shire Council.

Peter is a Bangalow local, a lifelong unionist, and a local dad.

He brings his strong Labor values to our local team, led by Justine Elliot MP - our Federal Labor MP who was recently re-elected with a swing towards her - and Cr Janet Swain, our Labor Councillor on Byron Shire Council.

We'd also like to thank Asren Pugh for his service and advocacy as a Byron Shire Councillor - and for showing our community that Labor gets things done on Council. Our community certainly miss your hard work, but we're in good hands with Peter Doherty.

TWO NEW POLLS RELEASED - LABOR IS UP, AND ONE NATION IS WAAAAYYYY BACK DOWN TO THIRD!

Both Resolve (SMH) and Newspoll (The Australian) are showing that Hanson's One Nation is going backwards, and she's even fallen back BEHIND the Liberals and Nationals in the Resolve poll. Maybe she should STOP calling for Australia to join Trump's war in Iran?

We'd like to say a big thank you to voters for swinging back to Labor after seeing Albo's tireless work in securing our fuel supplies (after Angus Taylor's Liberals sent our refineries offshore when he was the Liberal Minister).

We will keep working for Australia - and unlike what Pauline Hanson wants, we're not sending our troops to war.
