It’s been wonderful to see their curiosity and enthusiasm as they learn about the achievements and stories of influential Australians.

Robot Wars came to life in our Year 6 Robotics Club last week! Students designed, built and programmed their robots before putting them to the test in a series of exciting head-to-head challenges.

Yesterday, Year 3 students participated in the Wildlife Unleashed incursion, where we met fascinating animals including a baby freshwater crocodile, two different pythons, a Shingleback skink, a bearded dragon and even a Macaw.

We learnt about their life cycles, habitats, diets, and the difference between living and non-living things, helping us make connections to our Science and English learning. The incursion was full of exciting fun facts and gave students a hands-on opportunity to deepen their understanding of Australian wildlife.

Staff and students alike had a blast at our annual Teachers vs Students State of Origin Game 1 this afternoon! 🏉

There was plenty of laughter, great sportsmanship, and some impressive skills on display from both sides. Congratulations to the Teachers team who came away with a 3–1 win! 👏

Students are encouraged to wear their team colours and get behind the action tomorrow as we celebrate all things Origin!

A heartfelt thank you to our amazing P&C Association at Pumicestone State School for the ongoing support, care and generosity you show our school community. From the Mother’s Day Stall, Under 8s Day celebrations and Colour Fun Run to the Silly Sock fundraiser, your support continues to create wonderful opportunities and memories for our students and families. These events highlighted the wonderful community spirit that makes Pumicestone such a special place.
