SUPPORT FOR LILY HOOPER
For almost a week now, our whole community has been hoping for good news as the search continues for 18-year-old Oakdale local Lily Hooper.

I can’t begin to imagine what Lily’s family are going through right now. While an enormous search effort continues to bring Lily home, the Rotary Club of Wollondilly North has set up a fundraiser to help take some of the financial pressure off her family so they can focus on what matters most, finding Lily.

Rotary has a longstanding connection with the Hooper family through its youth programs, and every dollar raised through this appeal will go directly to Lily’s parents to help with the practical costs they’re facing.

If you’re in a position to help, even a small donation will make a difference.

Thank you to the Campbelltown Chamber of Commerce for inviting Camden Council to attend a dinner with Paul Scully MP to discuss the release of the 20 year Sydney Plan.

The blueprint includes strategies for housing distribution, jobs for Western Sydney, 30 interconnected centres and a State land use plan.

It was great to see the Macpac Councils in attendance along with businesses from across the Macarthur region.

I am so pleased to see $7 million secured to upgrade the Wire Lane and Remembrance Driveway intersection with traffic lights!

This important connection between Camden and Wollondilly is used by thousands of people every day, and this upgrade will make a real difference to safety for residents travelling to work, school, appointments and essential services.

Thank you to the NSW Government, Minister for Roads Jenny Aitchison MP, our local Members Sally Quinnell MP and Judy Hannan MP - Member for Wollondilly, and the many members of our community who have advocated for improvements at this intersection.

As our region continues to grow, I’ll keep working with our neighbouring councils and all levels of government to secure the investment our community needs.

Stage 1 of The Crest Open Space and Learn to Ride Facility has begun construction 🦺

This $3.4 million project will include;

🚦Bicycle learn to ride course
🚲Mountain bike trail
🚻Amenities and shelter
🚘Car parking
⚽️Kickabout areas
🚶Shared pathways

Since my election I have lobbied for a learn to ride course in our Camden LGA and I’m thrilled by early 2027 we will have exactly that!
