CAMPANIA FIRE BRIGADE, 8 Union Street, Campania (2026)

The Campania Fire Brigade is one of Tasmania Fire Service's (TFS) volunteer fire brigade serving the community of Campania, Tasmania. As one of TFS's 230 brigades, we are ready to respond to a wide variety of emergency incidents 24 hours per day, 365 days per year. Our brigade responds and provides crews for local, intrastate and interstate incidents, such as:
• Bushfires
• Grassfires

• Structure fires
• Transport related fires
• Hazardous Material Incidents (Hazmat)
• Specialist response activities including:
• Industrial rescue
• Trench rescue
• Urban Search and Rescue (USAR)
• Aviation response
• Chemical, Biological and Radiation (CBR)
• Road Accident Rescue

As a responsible member of our community our brigade also provide numerous other services including:
• Advice on fire hazards
• Premises key checks
• Fire safety building inspections
• Attendance at school or community group fairs
• Fire station visits
• Community Education activities
• Post incident analysis
• Fire investigations
• Fire alarm advice

Just a few little things to help keep you all safe at home, especially during the colder months where you are using extra heaters to keep warm or to dry clothes.

Never leave cooking unattended.

Keep heaters at least two metres away from anything flammable.

Always let your clothes dryer run through the end cooling cycle

Avoid overloading power boards or running cords under carpets or rugs.

Be safe with lithium-ion batteries and chargers. Choose trusted sellers and follow manufacturers’ instructions.

In the garage, store flammable materials safely, avoid clutter near power tools and chargers, and unplug equipment when not in use.

Install working fire alarms in lounge rooms, hallways, on every storey, in garages, caravans and tiny homes.

Today would be a good day to pop into Bunnings to grab those bits you need for your next DIY job at home, while you are there you can support the Volunteers of the Campania Fire Brigade who will be hosting the sausage sizzle until 4pm.

We had a wonderful day yesterday with our community and brigade. Our Juniors with their support crew hosted Santa to spread cheer and treats in our community. Thanks to Brian Mitchell and Jen Butler for your generosity supporting us to be able to delivery treats to the children of Campania.
We then had opportunity to celebrate our members recognising service with TFS and time together to end 2025 well.

Santa’s elves have marked out each of the spots that Santa can safely climb off the truck to have a chat and share some treats today. You’ll notice the elves have sneakily pushed the time forward from the map, that’s to encourage you to get to the meeting spot before Santa does!! Lets wait safely off the road.
First stop is the footy club!

Santa will be visiting Campania this Saturday at 3pm. Our brigade Members will be giving him a tour of the town to spread Christmas cheer and share treats.

He will travel down Union Street from the Fire Station, on to Hall Street and then head south on the main road stopping at the Football Club then Villeneuve Estate. He will then head back up the main road stopping at The Flour Mill park, the Tavern Car Park, Opposite the Post Office and at the Park in Alexander Circle.

Please help us keep this a safe and fun event for
everyone.

Santa’s elves will place signs at each of our planned
Santa Stops on Saturday Morning.

Please understand that we will only be stopping and
helping Santa off the truck for a chat and to share some
lollies at these preplanned stops.

We are very grateful for you supporting us by waiting at
the preplanned stops and keeping within the safe
spaces.
