Flooded road closure – Burrupa / Chapple Vale

Burrupa Road / Gellibrand River Road in Chapple Vale is currently closed due to flooding.

The road has been closed just before the bridge over the river, with additional signage in place from the Great Ocean Road end.

We advise motorists to seek an alternative route.

Floodwater can hide hazards. Please observe all signage and drive to the conditions.

Join us for the final meet-up in our series of Explore and Talk sessions – at Noorat next Wednesday, 17 June at 10 am.

Join the Positive Ageing, Access & Inclusion team for a self-paced, gentle tour around some of the Noorat's landmarks. Meet outside The Shed at 10 am.

After the walk, the group will meet for a drink and chat at a local café.

Join us for a morning tea at the Terang Civic Centre as we mark World Elder Abuse Awareness Day and come together to learn, share and support one another.

Hear from Mpower Inc, with an engaging and interactive session that explores how to recognise, respond to and prevent elder abuse, while connecting you with local support and services.

Need help navigating aged care or local support services?

Corangamite Shire’s Positive Ageing, Access and Inclusion team is hosting drop-in sessions at Libraries across the shire this June.

These free sessions offer friendly, one-on-one support to help you understand the aged care system, connect with local services, and find ways to stay active and involved in your community.

June sessions:
• Skipton Library – Tuesday 9 June, 10 am to 12 pm
• Terang Library – Wednesday 10 June, 1 pm to 3 pm
• Derrinallum Library – Thursday 18 June, 1 pm to 3 pm
• Cobden Library – Wednesday 24 June, 1 pm to 3 pm
• Timboon Library – Thursday 25 June, 10 am to 12 pm
