Rain, fog, mist and cloud can reduce your visibility.

Always keep your drone in visual line-of-sight. If you’re flying and can’t see your drone clearly, don’t fly.

Have you been enjoying the lights at @‌VividSydney?

Remember, you must:

👥 only fly in unpopulated areas

📍 keep it at least 30 metres from other people

☀️ only fly during daylight hours

🏙️ get an approval to fly in restricted airspace.

So, keep those skies clear for the lights and fireworks. Leave your drone at home (unless you're licensed, certified and have an approval to operate in the area).

Are you heading to Star-Bound: the Vivid Sydney drone show?

✨ Up to 1,000 drones are lighting up Cockle Bay every Sunday to Wednesday night (weather permitting) until 10 June under strict safety controls and CASA approvals.

Sydney Harbour is restricted airspace, and drone safety rules still apply during the festival. Flying your own drone near the event could put other aircraft and people at risk.

If you are visiting the festival, leave your drone at home and enjoy the show from the ground.

NSW Police Force will be monitoring the airspace during the festival.
