The Hall Heritage Centre is partnering with us to help capture our 100 year history of the Royal Canberra Show for 2027, and it all started at the historic Hall Showground.
Countless hours by a handful of amazing volunteers, who give up their time week after week to read, gather, sort, catalogue and file the Royal Canberra Show legacy.
Let's help them continue their work by supporting their fundraising event if you are free this Sunday 18th October for 'Brass in the Grass'. Enjoy music, food, raffles and so much more, all in Hall from 12.00pm. Heritage displays also open.

🎨🧶 Crafts Expo Entries Are Now Open for the 100th Royal Canberra Show! 🧵🎨

Join us as we celebrate a remarkable milestone, the 100th Royal Canberra Show in 2027! 🎉

The theme for the 2027 Crafts Expo is "Centenary", giving exhibitors a wonderful opportunity to showcase their creativity while celebrating 100 years of Show history, community, tradition and achievement.

Whether you're an experienced exhibitor or entering for the first time, we'd love to see your handmade creations on display.

Interested in chooks? Then the Royal Canberra Poultry Show on this weekend is for you.

🐔 Visit the largest flock of poultry this weekend 6 & 7 June at the Royal Canberra Poultry Show, where 2,500 birds will strut their stuff for the ultimate prize of Champion Bird of Show.🏆
Saturday 9am - 5pm & Sunday 8:15am - 2pm - Budawang Pavilion at Exhibition Park in Canberra.

There's lots to see and do with kids hands on activites in the Bunnings Warehouse Australia Educational zone, find out what makes a good egg🥚 and view the schools art competition entries.
Coffee and food available to purchase.
Public entrance to the left of Budawang, via the Conference Centre and entry is $5 which goes towards feeding our volunteers and birds. Kids 16 yrs and under get in FREE.

🌟 Celebrating National Volunteer Week 🌟
On Saturday 9 May, we were proud to host our Volunteer Recognition Event, honouring those who have given 10+ years of service to the RNCAS attended by Andrew Barr ACT Chief Minister. We were especially pleased to welcome partners—so often the quiet force behind every volunteer, and frequently roped in themselves.
Across the year, more than 600 volunteers support the work of the RNCAS, with another 200 stepping in during Show time to help deliver the events our community loves. Their contributions are as diverse as they are essential.
Our volunteers take on responsibilities that go far beyond a single shift. They meet with sponsors and partners, lead committees, coordinate exhibitors and suppliers, set up and pack down events, run BBQs, support office operations, and help ensure every competition and show runs smoothly. Many move seamlessly between events, stepping in wherever they’re needed most.
We are also fortunate to have former staff who continue to share their expertise as volunteers—an extraordinary gift of continuity, knowledge and heart.
From Councillors and Board Members to Committee Members, Section Heads, Chairs, Stewards, and office helpers, every volunteer shares one powerful thing in common: a commitment to the greater good of our mission—to champion agriculture, viticulture and horticulture, and to sustain the RNCAS for generations to come.
To every volunteer: thank you. We simply couldn’t do it without you.
