Share your views: Multicultural community facilities survey open.

We want to hear from multicultural communities about the places you use – and need – to meet, celebrate, learn and connect.

Your feedback will help us understand what community facilities are needed now, and in the future. This will help us use existing spaces better and plan for more flexible ones.

You can tell us about your community and the facilities you use in our survey – all groups are welcome.

You can also share the survey with your community members so they can have their say too.

The survey will take about 8 to 10 minutes to complete. It closes on 31 May 2026.

Help us understand the community and cultural spaces our multicultural ACT needs.

Slow down, look closely, and discover the beauty of their local environment through Nature Together: Journaling for Connection and Wellbeing, a new initiative delivered by NatureArt Lab - Art Classes.
This relaxed outdoor program offers guided nature journaling workshops in local green spaces, where participants can explore drawing, observation, and simple watercolour techniques. No artistic experience is needed- just curiosity and a willingness to spend time outdoors.
Two small-group sessions will be held across the year, beginning on Sunday 24 May, with a second session on Saturday 29 August to capture seasonal change. Each 2.5-hour workshop provides all materials and a welcoming space to connect with nature and meet others in the community.

Participation is free for residents via a booking code JACKAJOURNAL.

📅 Session 1: Sunday 24 May
🕙 10am - 12:30pm
📅 Session 2: Saturday 29 August
🕜 1:30pm - 4pm

📗📖📕 We are inviting you to build and host a Street Library for your community. There are only five libraries to be made, so places are limited.

Come in pairs to build the library together (a parent/child (15 yrs+, neighbours or friends). Please register for both sessions (Saturday 2 & 9 May). Each session is $20 per workshop (total $40 per library).

👷🏼‍♂️ Installation of the street library will be the responsibility of the workshop participants. Mingle's Community Support Fund can be used to pay for resources to achieve this. (To find out more about this contact [email protected])

The first workshop will involve constructing “The Shed”, one of the most popular street library designs. The second workshop will involve painting your library and preparing it for installation.

Discover the story of Captain Albert Jacka. Lest we forget.

Anzac Day is a national day of commemoration. Did you know the suburb of Jacka was named after Captain Albert Jacka?

He was the first Australian to be awarded the Victoria Cross medal during the Gallipoli campaign. During the First World War he was renowned for his heroism and became a symbol of the spirit of the ANZACs.

Lest we forget.
