Reflecting on an Extraordinary Year!
From high-level meetings to multi-layered engagement, every interaction has contributed to a stronger, more interconnected UAE-Australia relationship 🇦🇪 🇦🇺

+ UAE-Australia Parliamentary Friendship group visit to the UAE. A highlight of the visit was the privilege of meeting esteemed UAE officials including HE Thani Al Zeyoudi, Minister of State for Foreign Trade, and HE Badr Al Obama, Director General of ADIO and UAE Co-Chair of the UAE-AUS Business Council.

+ Building Bridges over Business Dinner. A night of synergy and possibilities as Australian businesses exchanged ideas and visions with counterparts from the UAE.

+ A thought provoking book discussion by HE Dr. Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi, an esteemed member of the UAE Federal National Council (FNC), on his book "National State: Imagining a World Without Narrow Nation States" at the Australian National University.

+ The UAE Ambassador and Minister for Agriculture and Food Forestry and Small Business, the Hon. Jackie Jarvis, shared their insights over a high-level state government luncheon in Perth.

At this year’s C4C International Climate Conference held at the captivating Taronga Zoo Wildlife Retreat in Sydney, HE Amb. AlSubousi spoke about the need for international cooperation at COP28 to overcome the challenges Climate Change poses and to keep 1.5 alive.

With special guests including COP26 President Sir Alok Sharma, various MPs, climate experts and thought leaders, participants engaged in discussions on energy security, agri-tech and clean technologies.

▪️The UAE Embassy in Canberra was delighted to host cultural and religious leaders to celebrate the spirit of tolerance. During the discussion, Professor Sheikh Salem Alhusseini, President of the Australian Fatwa House, lauded the UAE’s role in fostering international peace, tolerance and fraternity.

▪️ The UAE Embassy held a virtual event to mark the 78th anniversary of the formation of the principles and charter of the UN, with the participation of Damian Cardona, Director of the UN Information Office in Australia. The timely discussion stressed the importance of the UN as a symbol of hope for a better future for everyone, as well as highlighting the role of the UAE at the UNSC.

احتفت سفارة دولة الامارات العربية المتحدة لدى أستراليا باليوم العالمي للمرأة بمقر السفارة في العاصمه كانبرا ، حيث التقت نائبة سفير الدولة الأنسة/ أمنة السويدي بعدد من سفراء وممثلي البعثات الدبلوماسية بأستراليا وممثلي الحكومة الأسترالية، خلال اللقاء سلطت نائبة السفير الضوء على الدور المجتمعي التي تقوم به المرأة الإماراتية من خلال مشاركتها الفاعلة في جميع الاصعدة.
The Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Australia celebrated International Women's Day at the Embassy in Canberra. Miss. Amna Al-Suwaidi, the UAE Deputy Head of Mission, met with several ambassadors and representatives of Diplomatic Corps in Australia, as well as Australian officials. During the event, the DHM highlighted the societal role played by Emirati women through their active participation at all levels.

‎قام سفير الدولة لدى استراليا بزيارة رسمية إلى المقاطعة الشمالية في الفترة من 13 وحتى 15 سبتمبر الماضي. وخلال زيارته، التقى بالحاكم الإداري للمقاطعة الشمالية البرفسور هاف هاقي، وكذلك الوزيرة الأولى بالانابة للمقاطعة معالي/نيكول مانيسون ثم رئيس المجلس التشريعي للمقاطعة الشمالية، والرئيس التنفيذي للبنية التحتية في المقاطعة الشمالية/مارك موناقان.
‎ كما حضر السفير إحاطة من حكومة المقاطعة الشمالية حول فرص تعزيز العلاقات التجارية والاستثمارية بين الامارات والمقاطعة الشمالية. وعلى هامش الزيارة حضر السفير فعاليات أسبوع الموارد بالمقاطعة الشمالية.

The Ambassador conducted an official visit to the Northern Territory from the 13th of September until the 15th. Whilst there, the Ambassador met with the Administrator the Territory, Deputy Chief Minister, Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, the Chief Executive Officer of Infrastructure NT, attended a briefing from the NT Government about opportunities to enhance trade and investment ties as well as attending NT Resources Week.

عقدت سفارة الدولة في كانبرا إحاطة حول مؤتمر الأمم المتحدة المعني بتغير المناخ (COP28) استضافها نائب رئيس مجلس الشيوخ أندرو ماكلاكلان. كان من الحضور السيناتور دون فاريل، وزير التجارة والسياحة، والسيناتور جيني مكاليستر، مساعد الوزير لتغير المناخ والطاقة بالإضافة إلى برلمانيين وأعضاء السلك الدبلوماسي.

The UAE Embassy in Canberra held a briefing about COP28 that was hosted by Deputy President of the Senate the Hon Andrew McLachlan. The event was attended by Senator the Hon Don Farrell, Minister for Trade and Tourism, Senator the Hon Jenny McAllister, Assistant Minister for Climate Change and Energy in addition to Parliamentarians and members of the Diplomatic Corps.

بعث صاحب السمو الشيخ محمد بن راشد آل مكتوم، نائب رئيس الدولة رئيس مجلس الوزراء حاكم دبي "رعاه الله" رساله خطية إلى معالي ماناسيه سوغافاري، رئيس وزراء جزر سليمان، تتضمن دعوة رسمية للمشاركة في مؤتمر الأطراف COP28.

سلم الدعوة سعادة/ عبدالله السبوسي، سفير الدولة لدى أستراليا والغير مقيم لجزر سليمان الى معالي ماناسيه مالنجا نائب رئيس الوزراء في هونيارا عاصمة جزر سليمان.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, sent a written letter to The Honourable
Manasseh Sogavare, Prime Minister of the Solomon Islands, containing an official invitation to participate in the COP28 Conference of the Parties.

The invitation was delivered by His Excellency Abdullah Al-Sabousi, UAE Ambassador to Australia and non-resident to the Solomon Islands to Manasseh Maelanga the Deputy Prime Minister in Honiara the Capital of Solomon Islands.
