Creating a place where people want to live, work, visit and invest. The ACT Government's City Renewal Authority, in partnership with the community, is creating an exciting city heart through the delivery of design-led urban renewal with a focus on social and environmental sustainability. The City Renewal Authority is established under the City Renewal Authority and Suburban Land Agency Act 2017, w
hich came into effect on 1 July 2017. The City Renewal Authority Board includes professionals with expertise in urban design, architecture, town planning, sustainable development, affordable housing and community engagement. The City Centre Marketing and Improvements Levy is applied to ACT commercial properties in the city area and some selected areas of Braddon. The levy is used to fund events, promote activities, capital improvements and provide cleaning and security services to the City and Braddon Districts. The management of the City Centre Marketing and Improvements Levy transferred to the City Renewal Authority from 1 January 2018. We will work with levy payers and stakeholders on developing services and programs to increase activity and vibrancy within the levy area. Visit www.revenue.act.gov.au for more information on the City Centre Marketing and Improvements Levy, including rates payable and how to lodge returns. The City Renewal Authority’s social media accounts are monitored from Monday to Friday, between 9am – 5pm. HOUSE RULES:
