National Trust Australia - ACT

National Trust Australia - ACT Our purpose is to foster public knowledge about and conserve places and objects that are significant

The National Trust of Australia (ACT)was established because there were concerns that the heritage of ACT - Aboriginal, colonial, natural and early National Capital - needed recognition, documentation and protection. Although we do not own or manage historic properties we concentrate our efforts on research and publishing the results of our research, providing services to our members and providing expert advice to the government and other agencies.

Today is Reconciliation Day. For Crace Holdings and Gungahlin Homestead Estate, reconciliation means designing with Country and for Country. Honouring First Nations knowledge and embedding it in how we listen, plan and make decisions on this land.

Meet cultural ecologist Dr Chels Marshall and share her fascinating insights about how the world's oldest living sustainable culture can bring rejuvenation, biodiversity and resilience into modern planning.

We acknowledge the Ngunnawal people as the traditional custodians of this very special place.
