On Thursday 27 August, Hughes Primary School will be celebrating Wear It Purple Day, an opportunity to celebrate kindness, inclusion and respect within our school community.

At Hughes, we want every student to feel safe, welcome and valued. This day provides an opportunity for our students to reflect on how our words and actions can help others feel included and that they belong.

Want to join in?

Students are welcome to wear something purple on Thursday! This could be a purple shirt, socks, hair accessory or anything else they already have at home. There is absolutely no need to buy anything special.

Most importantly, Wear It Purple Day reminds us that kindness, respect and looking out for one another are values we can practise every day.

So, if you would like to participate, wear a little purple and help us spread a little more kindness throughout our school!

Today at Hughes, our Kindergarten students celebrated 100 Days of Kindergarten! 🎉
Some students came dressed as 100 year old people, alongside our fabulous teachers, while others celebrated in their favourite party clothes. Throughout the day, students enthusiastically participated in a range of fun activities centred around the number 100 and proudly counted their first 100 days of learning on the calendar. We are so proud of how much our Kindergarten students have grown in confidence, skills and friendships over these first 100 days. We can't wait to see all they achieve in the next 100!
