WACT Hash Drinkers with a running problem It has no formal structure and the motto "drinkers with a running problem".

'The Hash' is a worldwide organisation best described as a social gathering of people who like to run, jog or walk for exercise and enjoy a beer or two and a chat afterwards. WACT derives its name from Wednesday Australian Capital Territory Hash House Harriers. It is a mixed hash that runs in Canberra every Wednesday evening. In summer there is a mix of pub, home and forest locations and in winter

, a few more pub runs to get out of the cold. The runs are non-competitive 'hare and hounds' style, either cross-country or around the suburbs and are usually not arduous, although an occasional marathon can creep in. WACT caters for walkers as well as the more athletically minded.
