'Roll' with Dad this Father's Day 🚴‍♂️

Refuel after a ride through the forests with a special Father's Day Loaded Bacon & Egg Roll.

Available 10am to 2pm this Sunday, 6 September.

The Cafe will be serving from the windows at the South Deck.

Or visit the café in the Visitor Centre, open 9am to 4pm, for a variety of snacks, meals, and refreshments.

Whether you're stopping by for a quick coffee, lunch, or a Father's Day special, we'd love to see you there!

🪁 Create your kite at a pace that suits you.

Designed by our educators, our Kite Fest low-sensory workshop provides a gentle and supportive environment to create your kite. Each session is limited to 10 people (plus carers) in a private room with soft lighting and reduced noise stimulations.

🌞 Once you've assembled your kite, you can choose to join the fliers at Kite Fest or take your kite home to keep and fly another day.

All materials and instruction is provided.

Date: 26 & 27 September
Time: 10am - 3pm
Cost: $20 - one kite per ticket

Explore the Arboretum's STEP garden, learn how native plants support wildlife, and create your own native wildflower seed spheres to take home. A fun, hands-on activity combining creativity, nature and environmental learning.

🧭 Family Orienteering
Grab a map from the Visitor Centre and set off on a self-guided adventure! Search for hidden clues through the forests and gardens.

🪁 Kite Fest
Kite Fest returns bigger and brighter than ever! Enjoy a spectacular sky full of kites, kite-making workshops, delicious food, live music, family activities and plenty of community fun.

Surrounded by the stunning gardens of the Arboretum, Paul will share the story behind his most personal book yet, a beautifully illustrated account of the creation of a cottage garden in England's Cotswolds.

💛 Wattle you know... it's National Wattle Day!

Here are five things you might not know about wattle:

🌿 There are over 1,000 species of wattle, more than there are eucalypts.
💵 Each Australian banknote (issued 2016-2020) features a different species of wattle.
🟡 Not all wattles are green and gold. Some bloom in shades of white, red, pink and purple.
🔰 Australia's iconic green and gold sporting colours were inspired by wattle.
🌳 The Arboretum is home to more than 35 species of wattle.

Visit the Wattle Grove, Terra Australis and STEP Gardens to experience these iconic plants in bloom. 💛
