Did you know that as early as the 1950s, Endeavour Foundation was partnering with universities to help train specialist teachers?

Although this was a time when educational opportunities for children with intellectual disability were limited, there was a need for educators with the skills and knowledge to provide effective, inclusive learning.

By working alongside universities and education professionals, Endeavour Foundation helped support the development of specialist teaching practices that would benefit students with disability for years to come.

These partnerships recognised something that remains true today: great outcomes are achieved when education, research and lived experience come together.

More than 75 years later, we continue to champion learning, skills development and opportunities for people with intellectual disability to thrive.

That is the power of inclusion.

🐐🚜 Alpacas, tractor rides and a Highland cow? Sounds like the perfect day out!

Our Lawnton Learning and Lifestyle Hub recently headed to White Ridge Farm for a day packed with adventure, laughter and plenty of animal cuddles.

From feeding goats and meeting ponies to enjoying a tractor ride through the countryside and some friendly mini-golf competition, there were smiles everywhere you looked. 😁

Days like these are about building confidence, creating connections, trying new things and making memories that last.

National Reconciliation Week is a time to reflect, listen, learn and take action together.

This year’s National Reconciliation Week theme, All In, was developed by Reconciliation Australia and reminds us that reconciliation is everyone’s responsibility and that meaningful change happens when we all play a part.

At Endeavour Foundation, we believe inclusion starts with respect, understanding and creating communities where everyone feels valued, heard and connected.

As we continue celebrating 75 years of the power of inclusion, we acknowledge the histories, cultures and contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and recognise the importance of walking together towards a more inclusive future.

This National Reconciliation Week, we encourage everyone to be All In for reconciliation. πŸ’›
