🎖️ Celebrating 45+ Years of Service 🎖️
🚑 Ian “W**d” Digweed 🚑
Today we celebrate an incredible milestone for Ian “W**d” Digweed, who has dedicated more than 45 years to St John WA — and is now only six months away from an amazing 50 years of service! 💙💛
Ian began as a Cadet on 1 January 1977 and has served across numerous Sub Centres throughout WA, including Serpentine, Pinjarra, Collie, Bunbury, Two Rocks and East Bunbury.
Since ambulance service hours began being formally recorded in 2012, Ian has completed more than 4,816 hours — over 400 twelve-hour shifts. Across his entire volunteering career, his contribution is estimated at around 12,000 hours, equivalent to more than 1,000 shifts! 🤯👏
Ian received his Service Medal in 1992, his first bar in 1997, was inducted as a Member of the Commandry in 2003, and raised to Officer in 2023.
Today, Ian receives his 7th Service Medal Bar, recognising his incredible 45+ years of dedicated service. 🎖️
