New Toy Alert! We have welcomed the Bugzzle Puzzle to Carindale Toy Library and can’t wait for families to be able to borrow it! This Fat Brain brand toy is fantastic for learning colours, working on pattern recognition and developing fine motor skills. Borrow Bugzzle at our next open day - Saturday 20th June!

Bugzzle was purchased with a grant from the Queensland Government’s Community Gambling Benefit Fund.

What’s better than TWO new rollercoasters? FOUR new rollercoasters of course!! Check out the Downhill Thrills Kids Coasters! These are a great toy to loan for families who have smaller spaces or smaller cars for transporting toys in. Kids aged 2-5 and under 22.5kg will have hours of fun with these! Available to borrow from 6th June, provided our junior toy testers will give them up! 🥹🙈

Thanks to the Queensland Government’s Community Gambling Benefit Fund for enabling us to buy these Downhill Thrills Kids Coasters - expensive but so worth it for our member families to have access to them. ♥️

New to the idea of a toy library? Hi and welcome! 👋 Our friends at Toy Libraries Australia have created this fab graphic which shows how a toy library works. Once you become a member, simply borrow, play, clean, return and REPEAT! Your account will even show how much money a membership has saved your family. And yes, of course we do gift vouchers! ❤️

New Toy Alert! Just in time for Winter play, we have TWO new Rollercoasters for members to borrow, all thanks to a grant from the Queensland Government’s Community Gambling Benefit Trust Fund. We were thrilled when Steve Minnikin MP let us know we were successful grant applicants!

The rollercoasters are a popular choice for families with children aged 2-5 as they help develop gross motor skills and promote safe risk taking. In good news, they come apart easily for transport and storage. Both new rollercoasters will be ready for borrowing from this Saturday 6th June. We’re open Thursday 4th too, with borrowing from 10am-12pm both Thursday and Saturday. 😃

Behind the scenes of a - expertly filmed by one of our junior toy testers. All new items are unpacked, built and tested by volunteers Sam, Helen or Monique. The toy number is generated from our catalogue system, and each piece is labelled with this number. Then we log all pieces into the catalogue, add a photo, toy description and any warnings. This Hape Ocean Rescue Set has warnings for 3yrs+ as it has some tiny pieces that are choking hazards for younger children. The next step is to create, print and laminate the bag and boards cards. Once we have bagged the toy or parts of the toy, everything is delivered to the library, ready for borrowing! Quite a process, but worth it when you consider the hours of play these toys bring to 😊

New toy alert! The Fun Tunnel Soft Play Mat is a versatile addition to Carindale Toy Library - thanks to a recent grant from the Australian Government Department of Social Services. Perfect for gross motor skills like rolling, crawling and tumbling, and then magically transforms into a tunnel or cubby for imaginative play! It’s been loved by our junior toy testers, and is ready to be borrowed! Will it be in the library when you visit next?

Did you know that a toy library membership is just $2 per week (on average).
That gives your family access to hundreds of age appropriate toys that grow with your child as they develop and their interests change.

It's less toys filling up your home. Once your children are bored with a toy, pack it up and swap it at the toy library for something new and exciting 🔁

Drop into your nearest toy library and see what's available.
