Aboriginal Traineeship Program – Health Services Assistant – Wards person (Identified)

SESLHD is excited to invite Expressions of Interest for the Aboriginal Traineeship Program starting in Semester 2, 2026.

Are you thinking about a career in Health Services? This deadly opportunity might be for you!

The traineeship program offers a supported pathway into the NSW Health workforce, where you can earn while you learn. You’ll be employed full time while gaining hands on experience in a real health setting and complete a nationally recognised Certificate III in Allied Health Assistance through TAFE NSW.

This traineeship is ideal for someone who is leaving school, getting back into work, or changing careers and wants a chance to learn new skills and grow your confidence with cultural support.

Traineeship details:
• Hours: Full Time – 38hrs per week
• Duration: 12 months
• Location: St George Hospital, Kogarah OR Sydney/Sydney Eye Hospital, Martin Place
• Qualification: Certificate III in Health Services Assistance
