📢 Hear from last year’s Woolworths Tasmanian Young Farmer of the Year winner, Andrew Marshall.

Andrew entered the competition to challenge himself and grow his knowledge - despite not being a Rural Youth member and not knowing anyone else competing. By the end of the competition, he took home first place in the $55,000 prize pool.

Outside of the competition, Andrew works as a Farm Manager, where he and his wife run their own beef cattle operation.

🚨🚨 The competition is open to anyone aged 15–30, and you do not need to be a Rural Youth member to enter.

From club meetings and fundraising to Agfest working bees, competitions and events - our organisation would not run without the time, effort and passion of our volunteers.

Thank you to every member, committee member and supporter who gives their time to help create opportunities, friendships and experiences for young Tasmanians.

We appreciate everything you do!

The tradition lives on!

Every year, our incredible volunteers line Main Street to wave, cheer and dance our exhibitors out after another huge Agfest and this year was no exception.

It’s a small way for our Rural Youth team to say thank you to all of the exhibitors who help make Agfest such a special event year after year!
