Routine maintenance of your fire sprinkler system is crucial. In this instance, an isolation valve was partially closed. A faulty isolation valve impacts the water supply a sprinkler system would need to fight a fire. Our qualified fitter changed it out and ensured operation to Australian Standards. If there is a tamper fault on your fire indicator panel, investigation and replacement is vital.

Water Monitor in operation

Today’s recycling facilities utilise fire water monitors to assist in protection of waste pits and storage bins, providing essential protection in case of a fire.

The manually operated monitor is fitted with a fog/stream nozzle which can be adjusted between fog and stream as needed. The monitor can be manually targeted at the seat of the fire and can discharge up to 5,000 litres of water per minute.

This monitor is also available in an electrically remote-controlled configuration which is suitable for use by operators in main control rooms or remote from fire. While they were fun for our Roar Fire fitters to install, the real fun was testing the functionality of the water monitor. Everybody wanted to have a turn!
