Patterson River Fire Brigade Patterson River Fire Brigade (PRFB) commenced operations in March 2006 after the amalgamation of the Chelsea & Carrum Fire Brigades.

We are a Volunteer Fire Brigade committed to protecting the community. Patterson River Fire Brigade commenced operations as an integrated Fire Brigade on 27th March 2006 after the amalgamation of Chelsea and Carrum Fire Brigades. We are committed to protecting the community. We do so much more than attending fire calls. We respond to assistance calls for motor vehicle accidents, wildfires, structu

re fires, chemical spills and more. We also provide valuable education to the local area on fire prevention and safety procedures. We also enjoy many community activities including attending school fete's and other events. We are also known to help Santa fulfil his duties around Christmas time. Many of us will be impacted by cancer at some point in our lives, and this is exactly what inspires people to host a Biggest Morning Tea.

On Saturday 27 June, we'll be hosting our 2nd Biggest Morning Tea, raising important funds for the Cancer Council.

Now in its 33rd year, some of our members and their families will come together to enjoy each other's company and eat delicious food, all for a good cause.

Help us reach our goal to raise at least $500 toward this cause by donating below.

Dear PRFB Community,

Following the sad news of the passing of one of our long-time members, Patricia (Pat) Conway, the family has asked us to share the service details for the Celebration of Patricia's life.

Date: Thursday May 28th
Location: Bunurong Memorial Park, Cirrus Reflection Space

Schedule:
Ceremony: 10:30am-11:30am
Burial 11:45am (Headstone Row 21, Grave 16)

We were saddened to learn of the passing of Patricia Conway (Pat) yesterday.

Pat was a long-term member of the brigade, joining Carrum brigade on 26 February 1979 in the role of Auxiliary/Support.

Pat was very active supporting the brigade and coordinated many events and catering, and received the 45-year Life Member award back in September 2024.

Don't worry if you see a convoy of fire trucks driving around our local area tonight, we are conducting a strike team exercise to teach the juniors what happens when our seniors get deployed on strike teams.
