Penrith Beach is a freely accessible temporary activation providing locals and visitors to Western Sydney a place to swim.

Visitors are encouraged to get in, on and around water this summer in this unique location.

We’ve had a bumper summer season - all thanks to our amazing visitors who chose to cool off close to home!

New opening hours reminder! ⏰

Daylight savings may have ended, but there’s still plenty of sunshine to enjoy ☀️

We’re also open an extra day for the Anzac Day public holiday on 27 April, before the close of season.

We’re squeezing in a bit more fun with extra opening hours across the entire Easter long weekend. Come celebrate the final weeks of the season with 300 free ice creams and 300 free coffees on us.

For thousands of years, the Nepean River has been an important place for the Darug people. In modern times it was a quarry site and then transformed into Western Sydney’s favourite place to cool off, here’s how Penrith Beach came to be 👉

Summer’s slowing down, but beach days aren’t 🌞
From 2 February, we move into our shoulder season hours:
🏖️Weekdays: 12pm – 5pm
🏖️Weekends: 7am – 6pm

We’ll still be here for swims, picnics and sunny beach days. Plan your visit now!
