Living up to their motto, Paratus Gerere — "Ready to Act" — the crew of USCGC Vigorous (WMEC 627) demonstrated their readiness to execute the full range of Coast Guard missions, whether responding to mariners in distress, conducting joint training maneuvers, or advancing the future of offshore fleet logistics.

During their 64-day patrol spanning from the East Coast of the United States to the central Caribbean Sea, the crew completed an emergency search and rescue tow of a disabled sailing vessel and executed more than 30 flight evolutions with United States Army aviation teams to strengthen air-to-sea interoperability.

To cap off their deployment, Vigorous also made history by becoming the first Reliance-class medium endurance cutter to complete a replenishment at sea with the Homeland Security Cutter Ocean (HSC-Ocean).
