CANISHA 🎵
What do you like about performing at a community music event like this?
“I love meeting new people, watching all the families and kids enjoy the day. I love bringing my family along to these community events too! The food is always a bonus!!!”
What style/genre of music will you be performing, and what can the audience look forward to?
“I would say I am pop with a little soul flavour. I’m always just up there on-stage having fun with my band.”
Sally Ford and the Idiomatics 🎶
What do you like about performing at a community music event like this?
“We play a lot in hotel and music venues which often attract a limited audience demographic - depending on the nature of the venue and/or location. Playing a community festival is fantastic for the band as we get to play to all-comers, regardless of age or background in a relaxed and open environment.”
What style/genre of music will you be performing, and what can the audience look forward to?
“We like to think we take an audience on groove-driven electro-acoustic adventure. It’s lushly arranged, all original music influenced by Latin, ska, soul, ambient music and electronica but with the strong melodic overlay of Sally Ford’s wryly observed lyrics. We call it “Deep Melantronica”. Intrigued? Come and have a listen.”
