THIS IS WHY I LOVE HUMAN RESOURCES.
What makes a good leader great?
I am certainly not “great”, but I am aspiring to be. If you would like to know more about leadership styles, access the link below.

In order, I regard myself as a mixture of all the styles listed:
1. Participative – always encouraging input from ALL team members to make the best decision for an organisation.
2. Transformational – as an advocate for change, I am always looking to improve processes, and encourage all new ideas and/or thoughts, no matter how “silly”.
3. Servant – I constantly take into consideration another’s point of view and always put myself in other people’s shoes.
4. Delegative – goes hand in hand with Participative and Transformational. Allow each team member to work on aspects of a project they are most suited for.
5. Transactional – whenever a team member does a great job, they need to be acknowledged. On the other hand, underperformance requires retraining and one-on-one guidance to improve. If improvement is not forthcoming, there should be consequences. However, that is a last resort.
6. Authoritative – I like to think of myself as a person of knowledge, always striving for best practices. I do prefer things done my way (who doesn’t), however, I am open to listening to others and improving processes. I also enjoy coaching/mentoring others, on the proviso they are open to learning best practices. I do not have the patience for lazy workers who have their ears closed to the team’s objectives.
Even if you work autonomously, you are still part of a team in the big scheme of things.
Even marriage is a team.🤝
