This tiny bluetongue is in trouble. His back legs are not working due to a spinal injury. He’s safe here, on meds and in the warm now to recover.

Some birds are innately gregarious. Lorikeet species are one of them. A young rainbow lorikeet was added into our crèche. The slightly older bird was immediately attracted to him and hasn’t left his side since. This behavior helps them to settle and teaches the younger one how to feed and survive. “crèching” like species together improves their chances of survival once released 💯

Wow!! Here’s a Councillor that private funded trapping cats to learn about the worst areas to make a plan going forward! Kudos to

Are nuisance cats entering your property, damaging gardens, spraying, fighting, or disturbing pets and wildlife? The Kwinana Nuisance Cat Trapping Trial 2026 has launched to offer humane cat traps and educational material to local residents to use on their private property.

According to the City of Kwinana’s Cat Local Law 2022, pet cats must be prevented from creating a nuisance. Where a cat is causing a nuisance on a resident’s private property, the cat may be trapped humanely and handed over to City of Kwinana Rangers.

General information collected from the trial, including nuisance cat hot spots, will be shared with Council to raise awareness and support any discussion on future cat management efforts.

Please note: This trial is organised and privately funded by Councillor Michael James Brown. I am conducting this trial to provide some support to residents who are experiencing nuisance cats on their properties, and to take an evidence-based approach with any future discussions on nuisance cat management in the City of Kwinana. I feel this trial presents a powerful opportunity to collect information on the problem and how we can best tackle it in the local area. 👍

These are our gorgeous Maremmas guardian dogs. They protect our animals from predators like foxes, cats and birds of prey. They look cute but they take their role very seriously living out with the animals 24/7.
