V/Line will be introducing Myki / Tap&Go options at all Albury line stations (including Chiltern) in September. The Post Office will be able to sell and top up Myki cards then too.

Please note however, that this does NOT guarantee a seat. You will need to still reserve a seat through normal channels, by booking at the Post Office or online.

A new statewide V/Line timetable will be released shortly, no changes for our line (and no new services unfortunately).

One good thing is extra services between Seymour and the city on weekends. If our trains are full or the times dont suit, it is definitely worth considering driving to Seymour for extra options.

Tickets and info are available at the Post Office.

New timetables start on the V/Line train and coach network from Sunday 23 August with new or extended services added to the Seymour, Shepparton and Geelong lines.

Key changes include:

πŸ‘‰ 43 new weekly services on the Shepparton Line
πŸ‘‰ Seymour Line trains will run every 60 minutes on weekends
πŸ‘‰ Peak Wyndham Vale trains will be increased from six to nine-car carriages
πŸ‘‰ Extra services for Marshall and Waurn Ponds passengers
πŸ‘‰ Arrival and departure time changes on most coach routes

Chiltern Post Office is very pleased to announce that we are now an Over The Counter Collection point in the Container Deposit Scheme. https://cdsvic.org.au/

What does this mean? We can accept your eligible aluminum cans, glass bottles, plastic bottles and paperboard cartons and provide you with the 10c refund.

Refunds can be provided as cash or electronic (bank accounts or charity/community partners).

Here is a link to register for the app for electronic payments

We are very keen to support donations to our local community groups. Here is a link to register your group. A fantastic fundraising opportunity.

We dont have the same capacity as the large depots, so please dont stockpile for too long!! We need to sort them into different bins, so it would be fantastic if that could be done before you bring them in.

A great way to raise some $, recycle and you dont have to drive out of town to do it! Pop in and see us for more information.

Through CDS Vic, Victorians can exchange eligible drink containers for 10 cents. Click here to see how together we can make a positive difference to our community and our environment.

The end of an era.
After 30+ years of faithful service, the Post Office scales will finally be retired.
They have certainly had a workout in the past few years!
We would love to go back to the cool older ones, but unfortunately they aren't certified any more!
