An overview of Emma’s candidate launch yesterday…

Never has there been a more important time than NOW to help have the only voice in parliament who stands for ALL animals to be re-elected on March 13 at the NSW state election in 2027.

Emma Hurst who has put more private members bills in parliament than any other MP, covering issues such as animal protection, birth trauma in NSW hospitals, Domestic Violence, changes to the WWCC to ensure animal abusers cannot work with children, banned puppy farming and glue traps, banned crush videos, gained $140 million in government and budget funding for various animal welfare, protection, and community initiatives for projects such as endometriosis education, human relevant, animal free science, wildlife care and protection, domestic violence support, community and rescue initiatives …needs our HELP NOW!

Become a lower house candidate, let the public know what the AJP stands for through leafleting, attending community events, wearing your AJP branded clothing and putting your hand up to volunteer now to letter box drop, as well as for handing out HTVs at pre-poll and on election day. There is something for everyone.

Share our posts, and when we have our local AJP candidates names up and running, share them and help them to help Emma be re-elected.

We stand for KINDNESS EQUALITY, RATIONALITY and NON- VIOLENCE for everyone.

What cruel animal experiment do you want to see outlawed next?

Innocent animals were being drowned and forced to inhale cigarette smoke in cruel laboratory experiments.

So we changed the law.

In forced swim tests, animals are dropped into containers of water and forced to swim to survive. In forced smoking experiments, cigarette smoke is pumped into their tiny noses.

These experiments are cruel, outdated and completely unnecessary.

We introduced legislation to outlaw both practices, and NSW became the first place in the world to ban forced swim tests and forced smoking experiments on animals.

This is what happens when animal protection makes it into Parliament; we can turn outrage into actual law, and we do it everyday with your help.

This is for everyone who stands against 1080. While the Northern Beaches Council does not use it on Council owned or Managed Land, National Parks and Wildlife do continue to use it on public lands.

Thank you for your submission for planning proposal PP-2022-3802 at Morgan Road, Belrose. The Sydney North Strategic Planning Panel is the Planning Proposal Authority (PPA).

Following public exhibition and the post-exhibition panel meeting, the proponent sought to withdraw the proposal. In response, the Panel has determined to not proceed with the planning proposal with the Gateway determination now altered, with the rezoning no longer proceeding.

‘Shark nets protect politicians, they don’t protect swimmers’.

Public policy expert Chris Pepin-Neff states that shark nets do not protect swimmers and that the 2 million dollars put into funding outdated shark nets which are really just gill nets, can better be spent in increasing the number of drones.

Pepin-Neff said shark nets can actually cause more problems than they solve, because they are just regular fishing nets.
This means fish and other marine life can get caught in them, which can attract sharks closer to the shore.

The last thing I’d do is put a gill net in front of the flags,” Pepin-Neff said. He further stated that the increase in drones this year will prove that nets don’t work, especially when 40% of target sharks are found in the shore side of the net.

Politicians must listen to the experts and put aside fears about affecting their chance of re-election by making the right decision. And that decision is to get the nets out and to keep them out.
