🚒 HOUSE FIRE – CHURINGA DRIVE, CHURCHILL 🔥
On Friday afternoon, firefighters were called to a house fire in the Glendonald Estate on Churinga Drive, Churchill.
At the time, several appliances from our neighbouring brigades were already responding into Churchill for an Automatic Fire Alarm. Fortunately, once that incident was confirmed as a false alarm, some of those appliances were able to be immediately diverted to the house fire.
It was a great example of how our emergency services work together — when one community needs help, our neighbouring crews are never far away.
A huge thank you to Fire Rescue Victoria Stations 77 (Traralgon) and 78 (Morwell), CFA Hazelwood North Fire Brigade, and, of course, our own Churchill Fire Brigade members who responded and worked together at the incident.
Having multiple crews and appliances available so quickly makes a significant difference at a structure fire, helping us protect lives, property and our community, and to keep the fire very small.
A big thank you to all crews for the teamwork, professionalism and support.
