Mid-Western Regional Council LGA
Despite the easing of restrictions across much of the state, the Bush Fire Danger Period remains in place across the Mid-Western area due to areas of dry and increased fuel loads.
Fire permits are still required for any burning activities until midnight, 30 April 2026 and it is important that residents continue to take a cautious and well-prepared approach to burning activities.
Across the district, we have had four grass fires in the last week which had the potential to threaten property if it wasnโt for the quick response of RFS volunteers.
Residents planning to burn off can request a permit and notify their local brigade using the online tool at www.rfs.nsw.gov.au/notify or contact the Fire Control Centre on (02) 6370 9800.
