Our politicians seem to constantly be concerned with their image on the global arena, whether they give vast amounts to taxpayer money to nations who spend it on munitions or they squander it away or funding infrastructure in foreign nations. Yet, our homelessness rises, our infrastructure cripples under the weight of new inhabitants and the gap between rich and poor rises. Parliament needs to realise we should be helping those who are suffering in our own back yard not those who reside thousands of kilometres away. Why don't we focus on our problems, our issues before we attempt to resolve someone else's?
