Along with a vibrant harbourside precinct, Toondah Harbour will also create stunning new foreshore parklands with a lagoon and water play area, walking and cycling trails including a heritage trail, contemporary waterfront homes and marina coves.
Much-needed upgrades to the current ferry terminal will allow for easier access to Minjerribah (North Stradbroke Island) and Moreton Bay islands.
A range of new recreational boating facilities including marina berths, a public pontoon and sheltered boat ramp with trailer parking will also bring additional tourism and economic benefits to the Redlands Coast community.
Toondah Harbour was declared a Priority Development Area (PDA) under the Economic Development Act 2012 on the 21 June 2013. In response to a joint Queensland State Government and Redland City Council commitment to reinforce Toondah Harbour as the regional gateway to Moreton Bay and the Islands.
In late 2014, following a rigorous tender process, Walker Group Holdings was selected by the Queensland State Government and Redland City Council as the preferred development partner for Toondah Harbour.
Walker is working with state and local governments to deliver a sustainable new coastal destination for the Redlands Coast.
The proposed project is currently in the environment assessment phase.
If approved, Toondah Harbour will be delivered carefully over the next 15 to 20 years, responding to the evolving needs of the Redlands Coast community.

Connecting the Redlands Coast and Cleveland’s historic town centre, Toondah Harbour will link the city to the bay. Toondah Harbour will complement the businesses already operating within the Cleveland CBD, drawing much needed new trade, visitation and weekly expenditure into the local area.
