Founding member Grant O’Neill surprised me with this little gem: the Cuban Romeo y Julieta No.1 - a true classic in the world of ci**rs. This iconic smoke is a testament to the rich heritage and craftsmanship of Cuban ci**rs, offering aficionados an unforgettable experience.

The Romeo y Julieta No.1 is a refined and elegant cigar, boasting a smooth and flawless construction. Its impressive length of 6 7/8 inches and a ring gauge of 40 provide a generous smoking time, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the flavors and aromas.

Today at Clevelan cigar club one of our members paul buddh bailey bought this amazing wisky,
the Hibiki Harmony
Tasting notes:
Start very mild, don’t have the bite like a scotch,
Palate is slight bitterness complemented by wood and chocolate flavour
Finish is floral, rich, lingering, and refreshing.

I decide to pair it with one of my
H. Hupman corona major
Mild to medium cigar, with lots of complexity, the right amount of spices and a delicious long finish.
In the end was a great, yet fresh experience.

Welcome to Cleveland cigar club! Today will try something special; Chivas Regal 18 years and will pair it with a Quintero Favorito Cigar!

Chivas Regal 18 Bottling Note
A richly indulgent blended Scotch whisky from longtime favourite, Chivas. The Chivas Regal 18 Year Old was personally created by Master Blender Colin Scott, including over 20 single malts from around Scotland. Look, you can even see his name on the presentation box. Definitely no stranger to awards, this one. It even took home the International Wine & Spirit Competition 2014 Trophy for Blended Scotch Whisky! A supreme sipper.

Personally is one of the best whisky I ever tasted, and for the price you won’t get dissatisfied.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt:
Nose: The nose offers marmalade and malt, a hint of custard, coconut ice and nutmeg.

Palate: Winter spices and malt on the palate with barley, Seville orange marmalade and oak.

Finish: The finish is spiced and warming with oak and cinnamon.

This time my choice of cigar was a Quintero favorito, not a bad looking cigar and indeed an enjoyable smoke. This cigar proves that you don’t have to spend a lot for a cigar and still enjoy a great taste. With a mild to medium flavour it come close to one of my favourite ci**rs out there, the Partagas Robusto, without the extra price, I wish I could have more of these for this Australian winter and rounding up with a nice heat in the palate.

Dalwhinnie Highland Whisky
Single malt
Origin: Scotch whisky 15 years
élégant, smooth and medium-bodied with a light, fruity palate and a whiff of heather on the finish.

Smooth, soft and lasting flavors of heather-honey sweetness, apple peels and vanilla followed by deeper citrus-fruit flavors and hints of malted bread. Long, lingering, surprisingly intense finish that starts sweetly, then gives way to vanilla, apples, walnuts, smoke and malt.

I decided to pair this young and vibrant La Casona Churchill cigar with this smooth 15 year old Whisky

Personally I really like this whisky. It’s nicely blended and it doesn’t burn my throat too much. It’s very strong and pretty long lasting, just perfect for a rainy evening.
