2026 Languages Cluster Day

On Friday 29th May, a number of our Cleveland State School Students from Year 6 attended the Languages Cluster Day at Cleveland District State High School.

Students from CSS attended workshops in French, Japanese, Chinese and Cultural Studies accompanied by students from Bayview SS, Thornlands SS, Ormiston SS, MT Cotton SS and Dunwich SS. Students made a Chinese Dragon Boat, Japanese Headbands, Origami and French inspired artworks. Morning tea consisted of a delicious 'Pain au Chocolat' followed by an enormous Multicultural Buffet for lunch - Sushi, Fried Rice, Spring Rolls, Ham and Cheese Baguettes. The day showcased the many languages on offer at Cleveland District State High School. Students were entertained by several Performances to conclude an eventful day of Language Learning - The French Can Can Dance, 'La Bicyclette' French Song, Japanese Kendo, Karate and Koto and the Chinese Dragon Dance.

The day was sublime, students from all schools including our own were appreciative of the efforts the educators and Year 11 Helpers had gone to, ensuring the day was a success for all.

Great news families!
Advanced Life, our school photographers have let us know that school photos will be delivered to us in Week 9 from Monday 15th June 2026.
