This week, a group of our Year 11 and 12 students travelled to Brisbane to tour universities and explore a range of post-school study options.

Students toured ACU Brisbane campus, CQUniversity Brisbane campus, QUT Kelvin Grove campus and UQ Gatton campus, gaining valuable insights into university life, courses and future pathways.

We were even fortunate enough to meet one of our past Clifton SHS students when we walked through QUT Gardens Point campus!

The trip included an overnight stay, with students also enjoying watching the State of Origin together on Wednesday night.

A great opportunity to learn more about life after school and the many pathways available beyond Year 12!

We are thrilled to celebrate more 100% IA1 success, this time in Agricultural Science.

The IA1 for Agricultural Science was a Data Test. In this assessment, students were required to analyse, interpret and draw evidence-based conclusions from scientific datasets related to both animal and plant production, focussing on horticulture and animal market specifications.

Achieving 100% on an internal assessment is an exceptional accomplishment – congratulations Makayla on your success!

A fantastic day at the Clifton State High School Athletics Carnival on Friday!

Students from Kenny, Marsh and Rudd gave their all on the track and in the field, showing great determination, sportsmanship and house spirit throughout the day.

Congratulations to Kenny for winning the participation shield and to Rudd for the overall points winner.

🌍 Queensland students and teachers are invited to apply for two-week European adventure retracing the footsteps of the Anzacs through the UK, France and Belgium.

Through the Premier’s Anzac Prize, participants will experience history first-hand while deepening their understanding of the Anzac legacy and developing as global citizens.

The first part of our 2026 Athletics Carnival was held on Tuesday, with students from Kenny, Marsh and Rudd Houses competing fiercely in the 800m events, 4 x 100m relays and the first rotation of field events.

There was plenty of enthusiasm, determination and house spirit on display as students gave their best in pursuit of valuable points for their house.

The competition is already shaping up to be close, and we look forward to seeing the action continue at our full-day Athletics Carnival today.
