Yesterday, we had the offical Sod turn at the new Clyde CFA! 🪏
Our members met with Jordan Crugnale MP - Member for Bass, Chris Buckingham - Labor for Bass - Candidate for Bass, CSBA project manager and builders, CFA DCO Trevor Owen, ACFO Sean Kerr and CFA board member Rosemary Martin.
The members at the Clyde CFA are beyond thrilled to watch the land turn into a new fire station.
A massive thank you to Jordan Crugnale and the CFA for supporting our brigade in getting this all started, and a big thank you to the CSBA for supporting this build.
A big thank you to our own past and current BMT - in particular Ex Captain / 1st Lt Lee Bostock for making all of this happen.

We look forward to sharing more photos as the build continues 🚒 🧱

Strike team 0891 working North of the sate for 4 days near Tallangata and Corryong have finished done and dusted and heading home tomorrow for a long overdue rest. CFA volunteers from Clyde, Crib Point, Mt Eliza, Narre Warren North, Skye, Tynong and Frankston again stepped up to keeping the public safe. The strike team was based at the Tallangta Base Camp where accommodation, meals and ablutions were supplied. Firefighters from oveseas such as NZ, Canada and interstate firefighters assisted in fire fighting efforts and were “boots on the ground” but behind the scenes organising were people often forgotten but without them firefighters would not be able to do their job

Over the last few days, we have had members from Clyde CFA deployed to the Longwood fires. Clyde’s Field Command Vehicle (FCV) was driven up with strike team leader Lee Bostock to lead a strike team with support from two of our volunteers (A.Foster and L.Presta-Miller).
A big thank you to the Salvation Army and the Rapid Relief Team for keeping our crews fed, hydrated & caffeinated.
A big thank you to the Euroa CFA Group, particulary Gooram CFA who looked after us with lunch & guidance on the fire ground.
Working tirelessly, the volunteers in the areas of these fires have lost lots and are still out maintaining the fire and protecting their communities. Our hats go off to you and we will continue our support over this fire season (as well as many more in the future).
