About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Trade Assistant to join our team. This is a hands-on role supporting our technicians in the installation, servicing, and maintenance of fire protection systems. Career progression for the right candidate for future Fire Technician Training.

Key Responsibilities
• Assist technicians with servicing and repairs of fire equipment (extinguishers, hose reels, hydrants, sprinklers, etc.)
• Carry tools, materials, and equipment to and from job sites
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Assist with installations and minor repairs
• Follow workplace health and safety procedures
• General labouring duties as required

What We’re Looking For
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
• Physically fit and capable of manual work
• White Card (Construction Induction) – essential
• Driver’s licence - essential
• Previous experience in construction or trades (advantage but not essential)

⚠️ Commercial Property Owners – Important Compliance Update ⚠️

As of 13th February 2026, AS1851 – Routine Service of Fire Protection Systems and Equipment is now formally mandated.

This means all fire protection systems must now be serviced and maintained in accordance with AS1851, including the correct testing frequencies, record keeping, and documentation.

Many buildings are still being serviced under outdated schedules, which could lead to compliance issues during audits, fire safety inspections, or when lodging your Annual Fire Safety Statement (AFSS).

At J&J Fire. we’re currently offering free AS1851 compliance reviews for commercial property owners and strata managers to help ensure your building is aligned with the new requirements and not exposed to any risk.

I'm looking for an Accounts Officer to join our team at J&J Fire Protection Pty Ltd

We need someone brilliant who is extremely trustworthy, is competent with XERO and can support the Directors with:

General Duties:
- Metrics management - help me build and measure the numbers while also helping Maintain accurate financial records for the business.
- Managing Accounts Payable and issuing Remittance Advice
- Reconciling Accounts, Purchase Orders
- Assisting with Vehicle Rego’s, Insurances etc
- Cashflow Tracking
- Learn the business and step in wherever/ whenever needed
- Assisting Accountant Team for BAS, PAYG etc
- Assist our administration team if required

Requirements:
- Proven experience using Xero accounting platform.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Some prior knowledge or experience in this role
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn.
- Trustworthy

It's part time (approx. 16 hours throughout the week – No days / times locked in yet as this will be discussed with the successful candidate) , very flexible and for the right person working from home can be an option.

Position Vacant - ADMINISTRATION ASSISTANT

Due to increased workload we are currently looking for a new CASUAL administration assistant to join our team, starting with 3 days a week 9am to 3pm. Full time after 3 months will be considered.
