🎉𝗘𝘅𝗰𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗻𝗲𝘄𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗖𝗼𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗺 𝘀𝗼𝗰𝗰𝗲𝗿! 🎉

Moira Shire Council is pleased to announce it has secured$𝟮𝟯𝟱,𝟬𝟬𝟬 in funding through Sport and Recreation Victoria’s Local Sports Infrastructure Fund for the 𝗖𝗼𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗺 𝗔𝗽𝗲𝘅 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗰𝗲𝗿 𝗟𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁.

This funding will contribute to a $𝟯𝟭𝟳,𝟬𝟬𝟬 𝘂𝗽𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲 of the soccer pitches at Apex Reserve, including:
💡 Replacing ageing light towers and fittings on Pitch 1
💡 Upgrading existing lighting on Pitch 2 to meet Football Victoria facility guidelines

The project is being delivered in partnership with the Cobram Roar FC, whose growing player base and strong commitment to developing the game locally continue to drive demand for quality facilities.

🌟 These upgrades will help:
⚽ Support the continued growth of soccer in Cobram
⚽ Provide a safer, more professional environment for players, coaches, officials and supporters
⚽ Improve energy efficiency and reduce ongoing operating costs

A fantastic result for Cobram - and for soccer across Moira Shire! ⚽👏

On Wednesday 3 June, we officially marked the start of construction on the long-awaited Yarrawonga Multisports Stadium!

This is a proud milestone for our community - one that has been years in the making. The sod has been turned, and construction is now officially underway.

The Yarrawonga Multisports Stadium will be a state-of-the-art facility for our region, supporting sport, recreation and community life for generations to come.

We can't wait to see it come to life. Watch this space! 👀

The Yarrawonga Multisport Stadium project is jointly funded by Moira Shire Council, the Australian Government’s Community Development Grants Program, the Victorian Government’s Local Sports Infrastructure fund and the Yarrawonga-Mulwala Basketball Association.
