On Sunday May 25th we’re holding the first in what will become a monthly all-in meeting and coworking session for anti-nuclear organising. It’s at the Cafe at Catalyst from 9am-midday.

We’re using this as a space for different working groups to come together and share the things they’re working on, as well as a good coworking block to get some of our shared work done. There’s so many different groups and projects happening, so this is a central space for us to collaborate monthly.

Format will be largely co-working and group work, with an all-in updates and announcements session at 10am.

Bring people, projects, art, ideas, computers, and whatever else you need.

March 11th marked the 14th anniversary of The Fukushima Nuclear Disaster. The community of Naarm came together on this day with a clear message, nuclear is never safe. Now more than ever, we must remember those communities who have been forced to suffer the violence of the nuclear industry.

Everyday people live and die by the choices of their governments, with this disaster alone subjecting 32 million citizens across Japan to be exposed to the radioactive fallout, mass displacement of neighbouring communities and many disaster-related deaths.

We must call attention to the past due to the threat of a nuclear age in this continent's future.

Why should we pay 3x the cost of renewables so that mining companies can continue to rake in record profits? It’s not just dirty, it’s dangerous.

We must never allow what happened in Fukushima to happen again, not here.

This action took place on unceded Wurundjeri woi-wurrung Country.

The fight against nuclear has always had First Nations people at its frontlines. Leading the fight to protect country and community from uranium, weapons, and nuclear waste dumps. This is the fight for the self determination of aboriginal communities across the continent.
