When confronted, she denied ever supporting an East Coast gas reservation despite her own tweets, speeches, and policy tabled in Parliament proving otherwise. Why the sudden change? Paul Graham Has CLOSED 250 Post Offices!

What do Australia Post’s own annual reports reveal about the shrinking post office network?

In 2020, Australia had 4,330 post offices. By the 2025 annual report, that figure had fallen to 4,118. Australia Post CEO Paul Graham subsequently told a Senate hearing that the network had declined to 4,082 post offices.

Post offices are essential community services, particularly for regional and rural Australians who depend on them for access to postal, banking and government services.
