Did you know that Lorraine Black, one of Colac's School Crossing Supervisors has dedicated 7,800 days of service at the Pound Road School Crossing?

Lorraine has had the privilege of watching generations of local families grow up, helping not just one generation, but often their children and grandchildren safely cross the road.

The Pound Road crossing is one of the most demanding in the municipality due to the high volume of both students and vehicles that use it each day.

Throughout her many years of service, Lorraine has carried out her role with exceptional commitment, professionalism and care, helping to ensure the safety of countless children and families in our community.

Last week Colac Otway Shire Council held its Year of Service Celebration where Lorraine was recognised with her 40 Years of Service Award.

Congratulations, and thank you, on 40 years of incredible service.

Lorraine Black is pictured with our CEO, Mr Andrew Tenni.
