Yesterday at 14:32 our road rescue team got paged to a single vehicle road rescue possible person trapped.
On arrival it was clear the driver and sole occupant was not trapped however our crew assisted AV with loading the driver into the ambulance which then was transferred via road

On the 10/08 at 15:09 our crew got paged to an assist AV in Beech Forrest for a carry out of a patient with injuries.

It was quickly learnt the female we are heading to was infact the mum of one of our long standing members.

On arrival our crew assisted with the carry out to the waiting road ambulance then into the awaiting helicopter they flew her to Melbourne with significant injuries.

We all send her and family our warm wishes and for a full recovery on the journey ahead

Over the past fortnight our crews have attended to multiple tree down blocking roads and access along with a road rescue that seen one casualty air lifted and one deceased at the scene followed by an early call this morning to a tree blocking the road, on arrival we found that a car had ran into this tree, nil injuries to the driver 🧡

From trees to road rescue persons trapped,

You could have mistaken for today being a great weather day, how ever even on nice sunny days trees still fall over.

One down at Barwon Downs and another at Barongarook, however our highly trained chainsaw operators made short work of both.

Then at 17:20 this evening we got paged to princes hwy Swan Marsh to a single vehicle rollover with 2 occupants, on arrival it was clear one person was still trapped in the vehicle, an extrication plan was made with Ambulance Victoria and the person was extricated and on their way to hospital with potential injuries.

Tonight’s training consisted of fire extinguisher control, working as a team to manoeuvre the ball to another location simulating a small grass fire that we have extinguished at a couple of road rescues over the years, a little bit of fun had at the same time tonight
