Rick has strong roots in regional Western Australia. A fourth-generation farmer, he was raised on his family farm in Katanning and continues to be involved in the family farming business.

His background in farming and the grain industry has provided him with a strong connection to regional communities and the people who live and work in them.

⛏️ Keeping Collie’s mining history alive — and making sure visitors still get the full experience! 💥

We’re proud to share how one of our members Collie & Districts Community Bank Branch has helped another local member, Visit Collie, bring something amazing back to life!

Through a $7,000 community grant, Community Bank Collie & Districts helped fund the replacement of the audio amplifier in the Visitor Centre’s replica underground mine.

The simulated mine is a fantastic step back into Collie’s rich mining heritage, giving visitors the chance to experience a little of what life underground was like. But when the amplifier used for the simulated mine blast stopped working, a key part of this much-loved attraction was lost.

Now, thanks to the support of Community Bank Collie & Districts, the mine blast is back and visitors can once again have a real “blast”! 💥⛏️

This is what community banking is all about. ❤️
